ELVgo combineert drie soorten data:

Veelgestelde vragen
Kan ik de app gebruiken zonder account?
Ja.
ELVgo is a map and list of electric fast-charging points, viewed specifically through the eyes of truck drivers β with one core question: will my truck actually fit under here?
That's exactly what most charging apps don't tell you. They know where a charger is and how many kW it delivers, but not whether there's a 3.80m canopy over it, whether there's room for a tractor-trailer combination, or whether you're even allowed to bring a vehicle like that. ELVgo fills exactly that gap β with help from drivers themselves.
How the system is put together
ELVgo combines three types of data:
OpenChargeMap β an open, worldwide database of charging points, maintained by volunteers. This is the base layer: location, power, connector type.
The "official network" β a separate layer of charging hubs built specifically for trucks (e.g. Milence or Renault Trucks networks). This is supplemented with public coordinate lists and other sources, and manually checked for logic by the admin. What's still missing here β and where drivers help enormously β is personal, on-site verification. Recognisable by the blue π icon.
Drivers themselves β through reports (height, suitability, amenities, photos) and adding entirely new charging points that weren't listed anywhere yet. This is the heart of the whole app: without drivers passing things along, ELVgo is nothing more than a bare list of coordinates.
These three layers are merged into a single map and list. Duplicate points are merged automatically.
β οΈ The most important thing to understand
Nothing in this app is a guarantee
Heights come from fellow drivers, not from a laser or an official measurement. A green checkmark ("verified") only means the admin found the report plausible β not that it was measured. The blue "official network" icon means the point comes from an external source, which also hasn't been personally checked. Situations change: a canopy can be rebuilt, a height bar can be moved.
Always check the signage on site yourself before driving under anything. The app helps you prepare β it never replaces your own eyes.
Which brings us to the other important point: this app is only as good as the drivers who use it. The more people report a height, add a photo, or give a thumbs up on a report that checks out, the more reliable the map becomes. It quite literally works better the more colleagues join in.
What can you do?
Search and filter
Search bar: by city or station name
π My location: uses your phone's GPS to automatically show the nearest stations β never stored, only used live
kW filters: 50+, 100+, 150+, 350+
π Fits my height: only shows stations with a verified height report matching your truck (requires logging in + setting your height)
π Official network: only the separately curated truck charging hubs
π’ Brand filter: filter by one specific charging network (e.g. only Fastned or LEAP24), shown on the map with that network's own logo
β Clear filters: turn off all filters in one click
Route planning
Enter a starting point and a destination and ELVgo calculates a route with charging stops along the way. Turn on "Truck-safe" and the route accounts for your truck's height, weight and length β not just regular car navigation that might send you toward a bridge that's too low or a road you're not allowed on.
Live availability
At stations where recent live data is available, you see not just the total number of charging spots but also how many are currently free (e.g. "β‘ 5/6 charging spots"). This comes from an official live data feed and isn't available at every station β if the badge isn't shown, there's simply no live source for that point.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use the app without an account?
Yes. Searching, filtering, and even reporting (with a temporary nickname) can all be done without logging in. An account is only needed for points, thumbs up/down, your own truck profile, and adding new charging points.
Why isn't there a green checkmark next to the height I'm looking for?
That means nobody has confirmed that height yet. The report may well be correct, but hasn't yet been judged plausible by the admin. If you're unsure, report it yourself too β double confirmation helps everyone.
I'm not receiving an activation or reset email, what now?
Check your spam folder first β the email comes from a Hotmail address and is sometimes filtered because of that. Still not there? Wait a few minutes and try again.
I see an error in the "official network" data, what do I do?
Open the station and tap "π Report / add photo" β your report goes straight to the admin and helps make the map better for everyone.
I found a bug or something isn't working right
ELVgo is still fairly new β so there may be mistakes the admin hasn't discovered yet. Use the button below to report it. Briefly describe what went wrong and where in the app β the device and browser info field is filled in automatically, which helps enormously with tracking down the cause (some bugs, for instance, only occur on one type of phone or browser). If your report checks out, you'll get points for it.
ELVgo isn't an official source and doesn't claim to be β it's a shared, growing overview that relies on drivers helping each other. Use it to prepare, not as a replacement for your own eyes on site. And the more you report yourself, the better the map gets for the next driver who needs to fit under something.
